Key Suggestion for Food/Bakery Businesses: Future orders shouldn't affect today's stock
Juan Pablo Theurel
I have a suggestion that I believe is crucial for those of us using this app in the food, bakery, or catering business: inventory should be linked to the delivery date.
The current problem is that if a customer orders a cake from me today (Thursday) for Saturday, the system deducts it from the stock I have available to sell today in my shop. This forces me to keep separate manual records because the inventory in the app doesn't reflect the reality of what I have in my display case to sell for the day.
The solution would be for the system to deduct each product from the inventory of its corresponding delivery date.
This way, the order for Saturday would only affect the planned stock for Saturday, and today's inventory would remain intact for the day's sales.
For a bakery or a food business, this change is crucial. It would allow us to:
Know exactly how many cakes, desserts, or dishes we can sell over the counter each day, without fear of selling something that is already committed.
Accept large orders (catering, events, birthdays) for the following week, confident that the system will correctly manage the production capacity for that specific day.
Have true control over daily production and ingredient planning.
I hope the development team can consider this. It would be a change that would make this app the best option for our industry.
