We are currently integrating TakeApp with an external delivery management platform via the API and have identified two areas where improvements would significantly enhance operational control and system reliability. Staff Permission Restrictions (Order Deletion) At the moment, users with staff-level access are able to delete orders. From an operational and accounting perspective, this presents a significant risk because orders represent financial records and transaction history. We would like to suggest introducing more granular permission controls for staff roles. Ideally, staff users should be able to: View orders Update order statuses Add remarks or internal notes However, staff users should not be able to: Delete orders Modify financial values Remove historical transaction data Restricting order deletion to owner or admin roles only would help maintain proper audit trails and prevent accidental data loss. API Pickup Location Information (In-Store Pickup) When an order is placed with the “In-store Pickup” option and transmitted via the TakeApp API to an external delivery platform, the API currently only communicates the generic pickup type. For operational workflows that involve multiple pickup points, it would be extremely helpful if the API could also transmit the specific pickup location name defined in the TakeApp back office. For example: Instead of sending: Pickup Type: In-store pickup It would be more useful if the API could also include: Pickup Location Name (for example: Depot B Pickup) Pickup Address (if available) This would allow external delivery systems to correctly identify where drivers should collect the order. Summary We would greatly appreciate consideration of the following improvements: Role-based staff permissions, specifically restricting staff users from deleting orders. API enhancement to include pickup location names when using in-store pickup methods. Both improvements would strengthen operational integrity and improve integrations with third-party logistics platforms. Thank you for your continued development of the platform.
