Discounts by Category

In the Buy X get Y free, it would be easier for us and the salespeople if we could assign a category to be subject to the discount, where every product and subcategory within the category counts for the quota.
The Y part would render any product within that same category free. Especially helpful when the store uses products that are not suited to have variants, but would still be under a category.

Take App It would be much more useful if this code had a truly automated applicability, so that the client finds everything already synchronized. And the same should happen with the "AUTOMATIC DISCOUNTS" option, which still needs to be improved.

I want to be able to create a discount for a specific category of products. When discount applied, checks the product category and activate the discount code for a specific day.
For example I sell sneakers but I have discount on Vans sneakers every Monday.
If it can be activated automatically

Yes! I would like to add a bundle discount if a customer adds any two items from one particular category (ie 2 for $40) but was told this is not possible and that I have to create a discount code instead. I feel this adds one more thing for the customer to have to do. Could you please fix this, TakeApp? I think this is a reasonable expectation for a paid app. Thank you!

Allow whole categories to be a selection for Discounts

I would like to request the ability to select whole categories for discount as well as being able to select products.
For instance: If I want to run a special on a mixed case of wine, I have to go in and individually select each and every wine I have in the store.
What I would like to be able to do is simply select the category - which would place all of the products in that category into the discount.
Here is a loom to show you what I mean. https://www.loom.com/share/98d182580871458fa1c5d22658c5d930?sid=057563d7-2488-4725-91a2-fc84e7260632
