Change order creation workflow AFTER payment

Today an order is created (and we receive the corresponding message) when the customer checks out, but BEFORE they even select a payment method and confirm they have paid. This causes a lot of orders to be created (people playing around, etc.), which later have to be canceled. We need to change the workflow and create an order AFTER the customer selects a payment method and confirms they have paid. Thanks!

Good option, only create orders after payments are made, if no payments made them send both abondant Whatsapp messages and emails after 15-20 mins

Once order is placed we create order with Pending status. Once paid, we change it paid status. This is similar how the traditional invoice system works.
We understand that there is chance people create many pending orders. You need to manage them in order dashboard.

Youmin Kim There could be a clearer message for the costumer that if payment is not completed, the order is not confirmed and processed. Maybe it's a message that each business can edit depending on their needs. At the moment it's so difficult to understand when the client still has the expectation for the order to be processed and when he has simply intentionally decided to not complete his order. We spend a lot of time getting in touch with each client personally to clarify.

Guys its so easy, you can edit that in your Workflow settings. Just change it to "after payment"

I realised this yesterday as well. A customer ended up with 2 of the same orders because of this.
